Lagoda Odyssey is a turn-based RPG. Explore forests, caves, dungeons, and cities in this adventure. Make friends, complete quests, fight enemies, and catch some fish. The gameplay takes inspiration from a classic JRPG style - made famous by games such as Dragon Quest, Lunar, and Chrono Trigger - but with new twists added.

when starting to fight big fish while fishing, the game stopped working with this message.
"Failed to load img/battlebacks1/16sj%C3%B63.png"
Thank you for your report. That was strange... I downloaded the game and there was no error for me during the fight with the big fish. I will try to look deeper into the problem, and see if i can figure out what went wrong for you...
possibly its about locale relating issue of OS (mine is 2 byte code's).
french and german or even english app could cause same case to show garbled text or worse, it won't run for failing file name which characters' getting messed up internally.

What resolution is your game? - I found it interesting where it seemed like you were restricting a left and right stretch - is this to not distort the pixel art?
The resolution is 1140 * 720 (a bit odd). I decided to have a somewhat less wide resolution compared to the standard. The reason was primarily that I tried to evoke a classic console feeling (Like SNES / PS1). I also thought it looked a bit nicer compared to the full standard with...
Changed the resolution to 1280 * 720. Feels best to take advantage of the whole screen after all. :)

I have finished the 1.12 demo yesterday. I saw a few bugs/troubleshooting so I report them. They might be corrected with the new version but in case they are not ...
Thank you for your report Milwyn, that was very helpful! :) Some of these (the wolf and the cellar etc) are already addressed in 1.13 but there are some others that I will look at and fix!
